So this week was very very eventfull! Lets start with last p-day. I learned how to juggle! Its pretty impressive. I know, Im learning so many great life skills on my mission! haha its great!
Saturday was pretty much the greatest day ever! We woke up at 4 in the morning and got on a bus to São Paulo. We had a meeting with the Apostle Richard G. Scott! It was a fireside/training/lunch with him. It was way awesome! I got to shake is hand and introduce myself. Then he took pictures with all the zones. Somehow I got lucky enough to be the one sitting by him in the picture! Our mission president used his camera to take the picture. He said he would send us the pictures soon. So as soon as I get the picture, I will send it to you. But the training was sweet. We learned alot of cool stuff, and then he talked to us about marriage and how when we get home from our missions our number one priority needs to be finding a wife that we can marry in the temple. He didnt give a time period or anything like that, just said it neeeds to be our number one priority. Then afterwards they had lunch for us, so we ate with him and then we had to run back to São Roque.
Then at 6 we had a baptism. It was super awesome. When we went to fill up the font there was a giant spider in the font that we had to kill before filling it up. I sent a Picture. Elder Briggs Baptized her and it was way cool. Then we took her and her daughter and son out to ice cream to celebrate! We are working on her daughter now, but she is 17 and stubbern and rebellious. So its going to be a long patient battle.
Then on sunday I got to do the confirmation! I was so nervous, it was infornt of the entire ward, and it was the 1st time ive given an actual blessing in portuguese! oh and the stake president was there. So it was going well untill the stake president tapped me on the shoulder and so I stopped. Apparently I confirmed her a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. Instead of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. So i had to start over again. Kinda really embarrassing! haha I was shaking so bad! ... I think I gave her whiplash. haha!
I got the package of Deorderant! Which was much needing seeing as how it got supper hot this week! So thank you soooo much! There was only like 1 day this week that I wasnt completely drentched in sweat, and its only beacuse I was completely drentched in rain water! When we left the house it was sunny and hot and then at like 2 it started raining so hard and didnt stop untill the next morning. It was kinda fun to tell you the truth! haha
So we ran into another crazy guy again this week. We were walking through the town square and we spotted a man waving at us and giving us the "live long and prosper sign" He had super long curly black hair and a huge gotee! He was completely crosseyed. It was the funniest scarriest looking person ever. He then preceded to welcome us the the lovely land of Brazil and asked us how we liked it. We started to tell him about our message and then he shook our hands and when he shook our hands he held our hand in his and closed his eyes and took a deep breath in (like he was feeling our oura or something!) it was sooo funny! Then he starting talking about some crazy religion of his. And then I hear a name for god that I had never hear before! He was like " Oh lord god, lord opnipitant, owner of the toy" hahahaha owner of the toy! it was so funny! I love Brazil!
