Rodrigo (the boy that I baptized last month) outside his house holding one of his many chickens.

My companion killed a giant mosquito, and this is the mark it left on the wall.

Hey!

One more week passed already? Time is going so incredibly fast right now! It's seriously like the days are like hours and the weeks are like days! I guess it's a good thing, but everyone says that as you get older on the mission the time just passes faster and faster!

This past week was good. My feet have been completely soaked every day! Its rained every day for the past 3 weeks now! During the day it's super sunny and hot and then at 4 or 5 the most intense thunder storms roll in. It rains soooooo hard! Yesterday we were walked down the road to an appointment and the river overflowed and it was impossible to pass and so we had to wait for a while and then we hopped in the back of a big truck and it drove through. haha it was so crazy! There have been a ton of landslides here because the ground so sooo moist and hilly so everyday a different road gets blocked because of a land slide or a fallen tree!

Also there are so many ants here! I've never seen so many different kinds of ants before! Its crazy!

The work is going well, we have a bunch of families that we are teaching but almost all of them need to get married before they can be baptized. It's so weird here. No one gets married! We have a family where the parents are 70 years old and they have been living together for 50 years and have children and grandchildren and they aren't married. its super frustrating! haha

But other than that things here are great! I'm loving my companion, and the ward and my area!

Thanks for all the love and support!
Elder Schoen
